About Us
A specialist practice.
A global perspective.
Bureau IP is a specialist intellectual property law firm. Experienced and globally connected, we protect brands in Australia and around the world, ensuring they are positioned to make the most of every commercial opportunity.

Our expertise spans the full IP lifecycle: from trade mark clearance and application through to portfolio development, ongoing management, and enforcement, locally and globally.

We align technical expertise with commercial pragmatism, working closely with management, finance and operations teams to integrate IP strategy with the broader business decisions that surround it, from export planning and licensing negotiations to investment and brand commercialisation. Our advice is considered, strategically refined, and grounded in genuine partnership principles developed through years of cross-jurisdictional experience.
Counsel at every stage.
We work with you from the moment an idea takes shape through to international expansion, enforcement, and the commercialisation of established rights. Our approach is direct, proactive, and built for the long term.

1.    Before you brand

We ensure you own what you create, before you invest in design, before you commit to marketing, before you build.

2.    Before you trade internationally

We assess infringement risk, secure your rights, and guide you through cross-border complexity – delivering the clarity and confidence to enter every market that matters.

3.    Before you grow, license or franchise

We structure the agreements that underpin your growth – ensuring your IP is protected, correctly licensed, and positioned to generate value as your business scales.

4.    When infringement arises

We act with precision and resolve. Our approach is thorough and unwavering – we pursue every available avenue to protect your rights.

5.    Before you sell or prepare for M&A

A clean, well-documented IP portfolio is a material asset in any transaction. We conduct IP due diligence, resolve vulnerabilities, and ensure your rights are positioned to withstand scrutiny and maximise value.
